The mini Mayflower comes with a greetings card which is blank inside so you can fill in your own message. On the back of the card is a brief story about the ship, which transported the Pilgrim Fathers to America 400 years ago:

• The Pilgrim Fathers left Southampton in 1620, boarding the Mayflower and its smaller sister, The Speedwell. After several unsuccessful attempts to fix a leak, the Speedwell had to stay behind. Her passengers crammed onto the Mayflower, arriving 66 days later in Cape Cod. The Speedwell never sailed again.
