Soothe, soften and repair damaged skin with our superb WISP Balm. This beeswax and propolis balm was designed to help heal veterans’ wounds, so we give £1 from every sale of our WISP Balm to Help For Heroes (helpforheroes.org.uk).
WISP stands for Wounded and Injured Service Personnel. British Army veteran turned Hampshire beekeeper John Geden formulated the balm, in collaboration with MiH aromatherapist Debbie Mulkern, to be powerful enough to heal soldiers’ wounds and burns.
John’s bees produce the two main healing ingredients of WISP Balm: beeswax and propolis.
Bees create propolis from the sap of evergreens, then use this sticky, greenish-brown substance to coat their hives. Humans have used it as a medicine for thousands of years, with Egyptians even embalming mummies with it. Propolis contains hundreds of polyphenol antioxidants, which heal wounds and fight disease in the body, and one study even found it can help traumatic burns heal faster. Click here for more info.
WISP Balm (55g) contains beeswax, propolis, apricot oil, vitamin E, calendula and frankincense. This formula speeds up healthy cell growth and cares for thirsty, damaged and cracked skin, so it’s ideal for anyone suffering chafing and sore hands – from cyclists to gardeners, builders to hairdressers!
£1 from from the sale of each WISP Balm goes directly to Help for Heroes.
WISP Balm is an ethical product, made in Hampshire. The tin is made from metal, so you can reuse it or put it in the recycling.
